Fatigue
If there is "most common" symptom immediately after brain injury, it may well be fatigue.

It happens along a continuum ranging from "Wow I am so tired?" to complete and total exhaustion getting in the way of daily functions. "Knackered"

Fatigue makes sense: the brain just got bumped, concussed or otherwise assaulted and like every other body part deploys emergency response mechanisms.

Depending upon severity of brain change, fatigue may improve relatively quickly (weeks to months) or it may be a persistent feature of a "new normal."
